ZENG HE. I've written before about the theories of Gavin Menzies, the unreliable popularizer of the notion that Ming Chinese were here, there, everywhere. Menzies has been up to his usual at the American Historical Association's annual meetings.

I don't take this stuff very seriously, but it's fun speculation, and, who knows? Maybe there's some truth in it.
