FRUM'S WHITE HOUSE VIEW: an excerpt from David Frum's new book is here. Frum, as you know, is the former White House speechwriter who coined the term "axis of evil," and then left his job shortly after his wife leaked that fact (it is said that his departure had been long planned).

I find most of Frum's views of events, as given in this excerpt, astonishing, and ill-supported by facts from outside the White House bubble, but the insight into how, probably, most Bush White House staff view(ed) these events is invaluable. Whatever your political views, knowledge of how the Bush White House sees things is a gold mine.
